STATEMENT ON INTERNET & APP FRAUD & SCAM

 

Recently, we at Melco International Development Limited (“Melco International”) have discovered incidents of unauthorised mobile applications (APPs) and websites seeking to engage with the public using the name of “Melco International” to commit online gambling or investment activities.

These unauthorised APPs and websites, including but not limited to the APP “Melco International” operating under the web address of www.xhxh18.cc, are illegally using Melco International's names, trademarks, and/or logos without our permission, in an attempt to conduct fraudulent activities to solicit funds or obtain sensitive personal information from members of the public. We strongly condemn these illegal activities as they have not only damaged our reputation but also harmed the public interests.

We have reported these incidents to the relevant authority. We would like to clarify and emphasise that Melco International has not authorised any individuals or entities to conduct any investment activities for and on our behalf, nor have we authorised any individuals or entities to operate online gaming or investment APPs and websites of any nature. We reserve the right to take legal action against any individuals or entities that infringe on our corporate identity and/or exploit the use of our names and other intellectual properties, as well as those that associate our names, trademarks and logos with any potentially unlawful activities.

We strongly advise the public to exercise caution if they receive suspicious phone calls, messages, or emails. Melco International will not be responsible for any damages that may result from any member of the public accessing and/or using any fraudulent APPs or websites.
